Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) is a major player in the Abu Dhabi oilfield industry, operating under the umbrella of ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) and currently employing over 3,500 personnel, based in our Head Office Tower on the Corniche Road, and across our seven major onshore oilfields.

Historically ADCO has relied very heavily on the expertise of local agents to assist it in filling its high demand for skilled oil and gas professionals, as well as technically competent IT & administration personnel.

This trend is set to continue over the next five years, with ADCO having received the green light to recruit 950 new positions to meet the soaring demands for oil. 

This is in addition to our ongoing needs to fill existing open positions, replace personnel who are leaving, retiring, being promoted or transferring internally.  Since January 2008 to date, ADCO has recruited 252 expatriate staff, and as many more UAE Nationals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Carries out day to day preventive and corrective maintenance duties related to installed oil, gas and water flow lines, transfer lines, vessels, tanks, wellhead manifolds, gas trunk line, spur line, main oil line and supports.

• Directs and participates in welding works liaising with counterparts in Operations to prepar necessary work permits, and executing work on site and/or in workshop.

• Ensures availability of adequate level of consumable materials and spares.

• Executes small projects and approved modification work as directed by supervisor.

• Participates in the preparation of inspection and welding procedures to ensure welding and fabrication work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with international welding and fabrication standards, codes and practices.

• Participates and directs pigging operations of MOL network.

• Responds to MOL Emergencies and directs spillage disposal operations and repair activities.

• Supervises MOL bunding inspection and adherence to contract terms & conditions.

• Supervises welding and general fabrication activities in the Terminal.

• Executes small projects and approved modification work as directed by supervisor.

• May assist and participate in specialized welding works carried out by specialists, as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

• Fluent in English
• Degree or Diploma in Welding or Piping Engineer
• Minimum of 4 to 8 years previous strong experience in general welding and fabrication work in the oil & gas producing company
• Analytical thinking, problem solving, with excellent communication skills in English
