Electrical Technician Field (Ammonia/Urea/Melamine/Material Handling)

• The position functions within different Electrical Field Groups and is responsible for the Maintenance of Electrical equipment, switchgears, and motors and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• At least 5 years experience at chemical plant in installation and maintenance of Low voltage 415V and medium voltage 3.3KV switchgears; 415V, 3.3KV and 11KV motors; battery, battery charger and UPS; low and medium voltage power cable, control cable, control system components, contractors, relays, timers, overloads, lighting systems, etc.
• Knowledge of area classification and hazardous area equipment is essential and knowledge in frequency converters, PLC’s, motor winding and DC motors and the maintenance of electrical equipment, PLC, UPS and Frequency Converters is an advantage.
