As part of our continued expansions, we are in search of qualified and experienced personnel for the following vacancies. The company needs to recruit a number of key positions in its plants located in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. & Headquarter in Abu Dhabi.
Process Engineer (Polyethylene / Polypropylene)
About the job
Our Production teams are responsible for the safe operation of our polyolefin production facilities - comprising of Cracker Plants, Polyethylene Plants, Polypropylene Plants, Olefin Conversion Units and Utility Plants, to achieve our production targets in compliance with quality and sound HSE practices.
Reporting to the Department Manager, you will be part of the Polyolefins team and will be responsible for:
Performing a variety of process engineering duties in the Polyolefins plant which includes monitoring performance of plants and facilities, preparing daily performance summary and recommending corrective actions to deal with abnormalities.
Preparing studies to develop, test and implement changes in plant operations.
Providing functional assistance to various plant personnel in test-checking alterations, diagnosing process and corrosion problems and preparing technical specifications of operating chemicals and materials.
Preparing data for new projects and major revamps.
Preparing instructions and plans for defined maintenance activities.
Executing the process engineering responsibilities and tasks during shutdown and major turnarounds to ensure optimum schedules for downtime of the plant facilities without cost and time over runs.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Chemical or Process Control Engineering or related course
Minimum eight (8) years experience in Polyolefins plants, including 4 years in similar role.
Hands-on knowledge of production and process engineering in Polyolefins plant.
Ability to speak, write and communicate effectively in English.
Excellent analytical & leadership skills.
Excellent team player.
Proficient in the use of MS Office - Word, Excel, etc
Knowledge on CMMS-SAP will be an advantage
