As part of our continued expansions, we are in search of qualified and experienced personnel for the following vacancies. The company needs to recruit a number of key positions in its plants located in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. & Headquarter in Abu Dhabi.
Plant Engineer (Polyolefins)
About the job
Our Production teams are responsible for the safe operation of our polyolefin production facilities - comprising of Cracker Plants, Polyethylene Plants, Polypropylene Plants, Olefin Conversion Units and Utility Plants, to achieve our production targets in compliance with quality and sound HSE practices.
Reporting to the Department Manager, you will be part of the Production team and will be responsible for:
Improving equipment performance of the Polyolefins units in order to enhance reliability, availability and optimize maintenance costs.
Liaising with Polyolefins operations and maintenance team in all aspects of maintenance activities, evaluating maintenance budget and support project requirements.
Following up commissioining and start up of all in-house projects and modifications carried out by maintenance.
Acting as the rotating equipment expert in operation. Following up and reviewing start up procedures to ensure best possible handling at optimum conditions of all rotating equipment.
Participating in business improvement process
Evaluating / reviewing shutdown activities to reduce cost and plant down time
Acting as operation support to all in-house PMPs and process support group.
Participating in Design Risk Analysis, HAZOP, Model review
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
At least 8 years work experience in plant operation / maintenance in petrochemical or oil/gas processing industry, including 5 years in a Polyolefins plant.
Very good hands-on operations experience in PE/PP plants.
Good IT skills. Knowledge on SAP will be an advantage
Ability to speak, write and communicate effectively in English.
Excellent analytical & leadership skills.
Excellent team player.
