As part of our continued expansions, we are in search of qualified and experienced personnel for the following vacancies. The company needs to recruit a number of key positions in its plants located in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. & Headquarter in Abu Dhabi.

Project Planner/ Scheduler

BASIC FUNCTION

To plan and schedule all plant modification project (PMP) construction activities including prefabrication and offsite tests. To identify and plan the detailed resources (manpower and equipment) required for each PMP. To monitor and update execution plans for PMPs. To produce and follow up the required work orders to all execution parties.

WORK PERFORMED

  • Checks incoming PMP construction packages for completeness, and interacts with project/ design engineers and execution supervisor to assess job status in the field before finalizing plan.
  • Determines requirements for resources such as manpower, skills, estimated man hours, material, spares and special support devices such as cranes, forklifts etc., in consultation with execution supervisor in order to plan and requisition for the same.
  • Uses the computer system to maximum advantage for generating schedules, regular reports and analysis.
  • Works towards producing standards templates for work orders, work plans etc. to ensure systematic data presentation and maintenance. 
  • Acquires all information and inputs from project/ design engineers to prepare a resource plan for required resources so that timely availability can be assured.
  • Reviews work priorities with concerned parties including project engineers, Operations and other departments to assess backlog work, and to schedule project activities.  Follows up on work progress and update the work plan according to field situations.
  • Maintains information on all project work backlog jobs pending due to resource unavailability, shutdown etc. and follows up with concerned departments to expedite work.
  • Reviews requirements for plant shutdown, discusses details with all concerned parties and prepares consolidated work lists for shutdown as well as preliminary estimates of manpower and material.
  •  Ensures availability and timely entry of data in the SAP system on maintenance work carried out, manpower and time, personnel availability, spare parts used etc. for future reference.
  • Coordinates with plant planners for execution activities scheduling considering other plant activities to ensure optimum utilization of available resources
  • Follow up and monitor project materials status.
  • Prepares regular performance reports, status reports etc. using the computerised system to maximum advantage

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of Technical Secondary School education (12 years), followed by a Trade Diploma (2-3 years).
  • 8-10 years work experience in project planning and scheduling in oil/gas/petrochemical Industry.
  • Good knowledge of production facilities in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Good working experience in computer application including planning and scheduling softwares such as MS Project and/ or Permivera. Previous experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Good planning skills.
  • Good level in English (Written/ Spoken) language and having good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. Team work within the team and across departments
