Product Development Engineer – Pipe
BASIC FUNCTION
Development of PE and PP pipe products by leading or participating in innovation projects in areas of interest and leading and participating in other R&D or business application developments. Responsible for up-scaling, evaluating, testing and approving quality and performance of new grades in Borouge. Responsible for coaching functional teams to ensure effective product development targets in respective fields are met.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate (MS or PhD) in Chemistry, Polymer Science or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in PO material R&D related to the pipe industry
- Excellent polymer structure / property / application relation knowledge for PE and PP
- Good knowledge of plastic markets and applications
- Good knowledge of polymer technologies, catalysts, and additives
- Good knowledge of plastics processing, testing and analytical techniques
- Project management capability and knowledge
- Planning, prioritization ,communication (oral & written), presentation, accuracy, coaching, and feedback
- Good knowledge of IPR patenting process and patent writing
- Must be innovative, creative and have the ability to think analytically
* The potential candidate should have the flexibility to spend time initially in Linz, Austria before eventually moving to Abu Dhabi
