As part of our continued expansions, we are in search of qualified and experienced personnel for the following vacancies. The company needs to recruit a number of key positions in its plants located in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. & Headquarter in Abu Dhabi.

Mechanical Trainer
Basic Function:
Directs & Coordinates:
- Trainer is responsible for the development and implementation of training and systems to support the Borouge Emiritization Program for U.A.E. Nationals (Trainee).
- The Trainer will be required to assist in the design and production of suitable training support material to ensure that the Emiritization Program Quality Standards are maintained and that there is uniformity in the delivery of high standards of training which includes both “On and off the job training”.
- Provide Support to PA departments in the training & development of Developees
Main Work Performed and Responsibilities:
- Conduct and deliver Training to Trainee U.A.E. nationals.
- Prepares and regularly Updates IDP, Progress report & Employee Status Change for Trainees & Developees.
- Identifies opportunities for training & development of UAE Nationals through On-Job-Training, Off-Job-Training and Attachments linked to Personal Development Plan.
- Advises to create a better mutual understanding between employee and Line Manager concerned to ensure managerial support, encouragement and guidance, coaching and mentoring, sharing of relevant information.
- Organizes workshops to help employees assess their strength and weaknesses, values and interests, identify career opportunities, set personal goals and begin to develop a career strategy and action plan.
- Provides opportunities for learning and development of subordinates and assesses their progress.
- Advices continuous improvement of existing learning & develop tools, such as Personal Development Plan, Competency Profile, Training & Budget Plan. Ensure various computerized database systems concerning employee’s career development are maintained and updated.
- Ensures continual achievement of set targets through appropriate initiatives and periodic reviews with Supervisor, peers and subordinates.
- Utilizing the standard ADNOC and Borouge associated documentation, and in close cooperation with the trainees and the input of Line team members and Training Department, develop and produce an Individual Development Plan.
- Actively initiate and support the comprehensive training and development of nationals; ensuring that their competence is developed to the required written standards whilst maximizing the opportunities for effective experiential learning.
- Design, produce and deliver practical and theoretical Training material for remedial work as identified by training needs analysis (TNA).
- Deliver ‘short sharp’ theoretical and practical courses which emphasis the acquisition of practical skills relevant to the job of the Trainees.
- Maintain good working relationships with other Departments.
- Observe and monitor competence checks of individual Trainee.
- Track the progress of the Developee & Trainee and maintain accurate records of the development of the Developee & Trainee through Individual Progress Report.
- Provide proactive leadership and support to aid the development of Developee & Trainee, by encouraging good teamwork and being a good team player.
Some of the long term responsibilities involve
- Contribute in further development of Training systems to better improve BOROUGE Emiritization program.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical/electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
- 6-8 years’ experience in the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of equipment in an oil / gas / petrochemical/chemical industry.
- Must at least have 2 years experience as a Supervisor in oil & petrochemical industry.
- Highly proficient on both hands on and engineering skills.
- Good knowledge of English, written & spoken.
