As part of our continued expansions, we are in search of qualified and experienced personnel for the following vacancies. The company needs to recruit a number of key positions in its plants located in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. & Headquarter in Abu Dhabi.

Material Engineer
Basic Function:
Develop and maintain the Material Master Data for spare parts and other materials stored in the Borouge warehouse. Implement material standardization and identify material interchangeability to reduce the number of stock Items. Updates the Procurement description of the materials to increase the procurement process of these. |
Main Work Performed and Responsibilities:
- Define the data requirement for the computerized material management system, and maintain the data for unique identification and informative classification.
- Updates the Material descriptions according to Borouge standardization rules.
- Implement material standardization and suggest to reduce the number of stock items.
- Identify the identical and interchangeable materials in PA warehouse.
- Technical Evaluations of the quotations for the replenishment items as well as new stock items.
- Review the SCAD’s (Stock Creation, Amendments & Deletion) raised by end users to make the necessary entries in to the materials management system.
- Review the correct utilization of the materials management system and assists end users where necessary.
- Works closely with warehouse personnel to optimize the warehousing functions.
- Provides support and advise in specification for new material to be stocked.
- Review direct PR’s raised by users to check availability in stock.
- Provides technical advice and guidance on related materials issues.
- Ensure observation of HSE regulations and guidelines.
- Define the material inspection certificates requirements in cooperation with the concerned party.
- Reviews the Materials inspection reports, test and inspection certificates delivered together with the material.
- Maintain the buying description for spare parts related to PA warehouse.
Minimum Requirements:
- University Degree (Bachelors or equivalent)
- Good Knowledge of the computerized Material Management System (Work experience is preferable in the area of materials storage administration in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry)
- Awareness of International Industrial Standards
- More than seven (7) years experience in Maintenance in oil and petrochemical Industry
- Highly computer skills
