Major Project Interface Engineer
– Civil & Structural

BASIC FUNCTION

• Manage the interface between the own Borouge organization & the EPC, PMC and/or IPMT of Major Projects above 50 M$ in line with the requirements of Statement of Fitness & Operational Readiness

WORK PERFORMED & SKILLS

• Ensure a smooth & complete handover of all Asset Integrity related project deliverables, within the area of expertise as part of the established Major Project Interface team
• Challenge the EPC, PMC and/or IPMT from the early phases of the project on (pre and/or feasibility study) till handover & close out, in order to timely obtain, evaluate & comment all Asset Integrity related project deliverables
• Provide guidance during HAZOP exercises in compliance with Borouge’s HSE 6 step method & participate in technical and/or process reviews & task risk assessments (TRA) for critical activities, in order to solve & prevent problems, by identifying gaps & timely mitigating identified hazards and risks
• Safeguard compliance with governing design specifications & performance standards, including the acceptance criteria for critical safety equipments, & manage the technical approval & deviation control process in close cooperation with the Technical Authority framework
• Coordinate & obtain all discipline input in order to provide the EPC, PMC and/or IPMT with any requested Asset Integrity related support & share all gathered relevant info timely within the own organization
• Control the assignment of new tag numbers & steer the document review & “as built” handover process in close cooperation with the Document Control Centre
• Participate in FEED & EPC contract negotiations with high focus on design & technical integrity “must haves” & assist in the setup of design, procurement, operating, inspection & maintenance strategies, philosophies & management systems, in line with the pillars of asset integrity & total cost of ownership
• Set up & maintain external major project related OEM & vendor networks in close cooperation with the Technical Authority framework, in order to share experience of technical problems & solutions within Borouge

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Master of Science in Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent through experience
• Minimum 15 years of relevant & practical experience
• Recognised expert within the own area of expertise
• Good knowledge of relevant international standards & project management tools
• Well developed interpersonal, organisational, analytical, team- & networking skills
• Fluent in English, both written & oral
• Thorough experience with MS Office, SAP & project related software
• International & multicultural oriented
