Senior / Laboratory Researcher
– Thermal Analysis
BASIC FUNCTION
The laboratory researcher who will have a relevant expertise in Thermal Analysis entails expertise in DSC, TGA, DMA, and TMA etc will contribute to the Borouge innovation process by participating in the definition of the scientific content of the projects and to their IPR protection. He will operate equipments typically used in subject field, draw conclusions from the investigations and publish and communicate scientific reports relative to projects leading to new product / method specifications and knowledge development. The researcher will become Borouge’s expert in this field and will as such write scientific articles and presentations to be communicated in technical journals and conferences. Besides his Thermal Analysis skills, the researcher will have a deep theoretical and practical knowledge of polyolefin’s thermal behavioural and material science. Any additional competencies, hypernated with Spectroscopy such as FTIR, MS and UV in polymer field and/or other analytical tests would be regarded as a clear advantage.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- MS or preferably PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science or related discipline
- 5 years in Thermal Analysis in the field of polyolefin’s
- Polypropylene and polyethylene plastics. Operational and theoretical knowledge of DSC, TGA, DMA, and TMA in polyolefins’
- Analytical and conceptual thinking, innovation, relationship building, advanced expertise in Thermal Analysis, team work & cooperation, customer orientation, flexibility, initiative, HSE awareness
