Senior Laboratory Technician – AH
BASIC FUNCTION
The senior Lab Technician shall have long lasting material processing experience in relevant area of processing technologies. This experience should have been gained with a plastics converting company or larger laboratory on typical processing equipment. The main technologies available in AH are: Cast – and Blown film production (single & multilayer); Single- and Multilayer Pipe production, Injection- and Blow molding; Compounding of PP and PE.
The job holder shall have proofed and deep knowledge in one, preferable two of the above processing technologies. Besides operating the equipment according to standards he has to be able to apply new tools and molds to the respective lines as develop and setup feasible processing conditions for new developed materials. This additional requires deep insight knowledge about PE and PP materials, their processing windows and related material properties. Ability to create and perform relevant test programs as well as final reporting is a must.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- BSc in plastics engineering
- 5 – 10 years in one or two of above mentioned processing technologies
- Operational and theoretical knowledge of one or two following technologies: Cast-, blown film / pipe extrusion /Injection-, blow molding / compounding and additivation of PE & PP
- Able to support and advice Lab Technicians during operating programs
- `Hands on` team player, customer orientation, flexible, ability to analyze results, make conclusions and reports
